PKA- Professional Knifemakers Association

This is an organization of knifemakers with strong membership support in the Western part of the US.  The PKA holds annual show that has become a premier gathering of the best in the knifemaking business as well as some of the most discriminating collectors of custom knives.  The organization holds its annual meeting and election of new officers at its yearly show and has as its members some of the most skilled craftsmen in the world

Membership Pricing

• Active Member:        $ 100.00 per year (knifemakers)
• Associate Member:  $ 60.00 per year (purveyors, dealer, engravers, equipment manufacturers, etc)
• Support Member:     $ 15.00 per year
• Honorary Member:   free

Active members must go through an approval process, which consists of two current members vouching for the new member and a submission and approval of the applicants custom work

Membership Benefits

• Receive the PKA Newsletter
• Have free admittance to the PKA Knife Show
• Active Members can exhibit at the Knife Show and are allowed to vote and hold office in the organization

The annual knife show also features educational sessions where both old and new knifemakers can hone their skills and share knowledge on both traditional and modern techniques.
