Spyderco Captain C111G Jason Breeden Knife
September 24, 2007
Every
now and then a blade is so unique that the knife industry takes notice.
Well this innovative design by Jason Breeden was the center of attention at a
recent knife show, and Spyderco saw just what we are seeing now; a blade that
definitely draws the eye, and should draw quite a few buyers.
The centerpiece of the design is the blade which has a Hawk bill blade with a
bulbous curvature at the end. According to Jason Breeden, the recurve
blade is great for cutting in the outdoors and seems a natural blade for cutting
rope and line, and a great skinning or whittling. The large rounded end of
the blade is great for horizontal cuts.
The knife comes complete with a Walker Linerlock, steel liners, removable
pocket clip, and a handle with a great feel and good grip. The overall
length of the blade is 7 3/16" and the blade length is 3 1/16" and made of VG-10
steel. With a weight of 4 3/4", has a sufficient weight to get the job
done
The knife retails for $199.95 and should soon be available for purchase.
