Pocket Knife Helps Man to Safety
September 15, 2007
We love stories like these. Yes a great many news stories dealing with
pocket knives are negative and deal with crime. Yet, pocket knives save
the lives of a great deal of ordinary people each year, and we want to shine the
light on those stories. This month has been full of positive stories like
the girl that fended off a rapist
and the boy that freed himself
from an overturned car. (There will always be negative stories on knives,
but remember that if someone with lack of foresight is able to ban knives, then
many of these stories will still be about knives, because anyone that would kill
or rape is most likely unconcerned with a carry law, and if they were, I guess
they would have a screwdriver on them, so they could kill someone without the
horrible burden of facing the extra carry citation) But I digress.
This is a great story.
Just three days ago it was reported by an ABC affiliate that an 83 year old
great grandfather was able to free himself from an overturned tractor with his
trusty pocket knife. Go to the full story of
The Old Man and the Pocket Knife. (my apologies to Hemingway)
This is just another fine example of how a good pocket knife can keep you
safe, and in our latest three stories, only a single blade was needed. I
can't wait to here a story from an individual that has his life saved by the
World Record Wenger Pocket Knife.
Please remember to send any great pocket knife story that you would like to
share at "mailchum -at- gmail -dot- com" We would love to share your
stories and knife news with our readers.
