Paul Pocket Knife with Passion Stone Handles
September 5, 2007
Lone
Wolf Knives has revived a classic collectible in this limited edition rendition
of the original Paul knife, and according to LWK, this is first pocket-sized
Paul knife ever manufactured. This collectible design is limited to 150
pieces and is stamped with the "Paul" trademark directly one the blade.
This and the original knives that carry the Paul name, come from the reknowned
Paul Poehlmann, who began this classic knife style in the early 1970s and
continued with Gerber through the the late seventies up to 1986, and for two
years more years with Gerber in 1996 and 1997, as a production knife.
The knife is a perfect carry size having a closed length of only 3 1/8", a
blade length of 2" and a weight of 1.9 oz. The blade is 420 high carbon
steel and the handle is made from Red passion stone which gives the knife a
distinctive look when set against the gold colored mechanism medallion.
The LWK order number is LWLM21910 and retails for $229.95 which is a great
price for a collector knife yet priced in a manner that will entice some buyers
to use this as their everyday carry.
The early Paul knives from Gerber have increased steadily in value and I
suspect that these new Lone Wolf versions will do equally as well
