Nemesis Knives Xenon Folder
Nemesis
Knives has been advertising this knife lately and they should- this is a sharp
looking knife. This knife was first started as a collaborative effort
between knifemaker Jeff Hall and the principal designer Joel Pirela, who has
been noted for his innovative creations. The knife is now part of Nemesis
Knives semi-custom offerings, which will put this in the hands of many more
knife enthusiasts.
This knife has a 4 1/8" blade made of S30V premium grade steel and has an
overall length of 9 3/8". The liners are made of lightweight 6AL-4L
titanium; light but structurally strong. With a weight of just 5.4 ounces,
this blade can be used as an everyday carry, but I suspect the many fans of
Pirela tactical knives will put this blade in safe keeping. The knife's
futuristic look can be attributed to its multiple flat and hollow grinds.
The knife comes complete with a titanium clip for tip down carrying has carbon
fiber scales which accentuate the futuristic look while offering a reliable
grip.
We look forward to more collaborations between Pirela and other knifemakers
such as the recent Elishewitz and
Pirela tactical knife that is simply stunning. Hall appears to be
gathering a good following of collectors, but undoubtedly Pirela is in a
rarified league of innovative knifemakers with an eye for futuristic tacticals.
