Gerber Rescue Knife for Firefighters by Hinderer

The Gerber Hinderer was designed by Rick Hinderer with the firefighter in mind.  This is a firefighter's knife that was actually designed by a firefighter. Will you be wearing heavy turn out gloves?  No problem. This particular folder, Gerber product number 1534 has a firefighter red handle, and is loaded with rescue features.  The 3.5" blade is made out of stainless steel and is serrated to cut easily through rope.  The locking mechanism is a sturdy liner lock.  The handled end of the knife comes with a window punch/breaker, a lanyard ring, and a hinged seat belt cutter that can also be used to cut through clothing in a rescue situation.  This unique hinged cutter can be quickly opened or folded back into the handle of the knife.

And additionally there is a slot created in the middle portion of the knife that functions as an oxygen tank wrench.  The knife comes complete with a tool kit that features an assortment of drill bits as well as a nylon sheath with the Gerber logo.
