The Cold Steel Black Talon

September 06, 2007

Some blades instantly grab your attention.  This tactical bad boy from Cold Steel grabs your attention and keeps it.  Cold Steel has said it best when saying that when you purchase this tactical knife, you will begin hearing "Man, that's one mean looking knife!"  We have to agree.  The San Mai III blade on this stunning knife well fits is moniker- Black Talon.  The blade takes a sharp  turn near its blade tip, giving the look of a talon.  And just like a talon, the end of this blade is sharp, actually pointedly sharp at its end like a needle.

The frame of this beastly blade is made of titanium, which gives strength to the design while lightening this lengthy folder. The bolsters as well as the leaf spring lock are also Titanium.  The frame is scaled with black G-10 scales, adding to the overall look of this Cold Steel creation.

The blade has a thumb hole strategically placed in the blade, which not only adds to the unique look, but is functionally placed to allow for blade opening with either hand.  The knife additionally features a lanyard hole, and a pocket clip that can be removed to please both right hand and left handed owners.

The knife, model 60BT has an overall length of 9 1/4" and a weight of 6.6 oz, and is listed at $389.99.  If you want a knife that is razor sharp and has a stunningly fierce look, then this tactical folder is a great choice.
