Boker Helios Supreme Rosewood Handle Knife
September 25, 2007
Boker
has created a family of knives that they call Helios, and we are detailing today
one of our favorites of that series of knives. The Helios Supreme has a
wood handle, yet has the shape and feel of a tactical, like their Shadow and
Cera Titan.
All of these knives are designed for rough and tumble everyday use.
At 4.2 ounces, they are light and have removable clip that can be reversed for
tip up or down carry. Much of the light weight can be attributed to the
light Rosewood handle that is cut with a checkered pattern and has finger
contours to ensure a firm grip. The 3.5" blade is made of a X-15 T.N.
steel, which has superior corrosion resistance and edge retention. With an
overall knife length of 8 1/4" this knife is sized to fit your hand for serious
carving and blade use.
The Supreme Item Number 096 retails for $199.00. There are many knives
with this shape out there, but very few with these unique wood handles and few
that carry a name so noted for excellence as Boker Solingen. As more
knives are released into the Helios family of folders, we will strive to provide
you with the latest news. And please contact us if you know of any news
that would benefit the pocket knife carrying and collecting community. We
want to be your source of the latest news and innovations in the world of
folding knives and collectible and limited edition pocket knives.
