Boker Andrey Folding Knife
September 23, 2007
There
are products on the market that are defined by their simply lines, from the Nike
swoosh to the signature curves of a vette. This particular knife shares in
that stylish simplicity with its unmistakably attractive shape.
Boker once again showed their eye for talent, tracking down Andrey Titenkov
of St. Petersburg, Russia in an effort to bring one of his innovative creations
to life. And just as the saying goes that great minds think alike, both
the Boker representatives and Andrey were both particularly fond of this
particular design (and so are we). Andrey actually was using this knife
design as a basis for his other variations.
The unique shaped 3" blade has been given a two way satin finish by Boker
partner KLOTZLI, flowing gracefully from point to the end of the machined
aluminum handle. Klotzli is a internationally successful company in their
own right featuring the designs of Christian Wimpff and
Michael Walker, who has
been featured on other Boker designs. It truly is a small world at the
upper echelons of innovative knife design.
The overall length is 7 5/8" and the weight is 3.5 ounces. The handle
features olive wood insets and the first 500 of the knives will be serialized.
