Benchmade Large Folding Knife
If you are a man with big pockets, then the Benchmade Model 10100 LFK folder
may be for you. (Yes, the acronym LFK is for large folding knife) This
Benchmade knife doesn't even look like a folding knife at a distance since its
blade (5.20") is actually longer than its handle (5.05") They accomplish
this with a patent pending mechanism that swings a "tail fin" over the end of
the blade that covers the tip of the blade as it protrudes beyond the length of
the handle. This moving action occurs in conjunction with the blade where
the fin close with the closing of the blade and opens with the opening of the
blade.
With a price around a mere $100 dollars there will be a lot of buyers that
will buy this knife just to have the pleasure of watching the mechanism work and
own a blade that operates like no other. And with a total open length of
10.25", this blade is once again no ordinary folder.
This knife also comes complete with a 440C stainless blade, tip down pocket
clip and a nylon sheath. The knife handle is made of machined aluminum
with Dupont Santoprene overmolding.
This knife, with its patented mechanism is a great addition to the Benchmade
product line. Benchmade has made a name for itself as a company that
thrives on innovation and this knife embodies that spirit. The fact that
Benchmade has won 8 out of 9 knife of the year honors at the National Rifle Show
is a testament to their ingenuity and great for all consumers who can't wait to
see what they come up with next.
