If you are looking for a  well made semi-custom knife that is an ultra light carry, then this Gold Class Benchmade will make a great choice.  The Gold Class of knives by Benchmade represents an effort to blur of the lines between custom and production knives, and this Opportunist (Osborne) knife is an affirmation to the success of that effort.

This really light pocket knife designed as an everyday carry features a 2.99" blade crafted from S30V steel which has a hardness between 58 and 60HRC.  The blade style is a modified Wharncliff and the locking mechanism is the modified locking liner.  The knife has a machined blue titanium handles with carbon fiber scales.  The hardware on the knife is a black nickel which complements the gray and black look of the handle. 

This knife is remarkable light having a weight of only 1.7 ounces, yet has an overall length of 6.83".   As part of the Gold Class custom look, the knife has a Blue Topaz thumb stud. The retail price of this knife is $350.00

A Blue Class Opportunist 440 is also available with real wood handle onlays for $150.00.  The 440TICF-71 sets itself apart with the blue topaz thumb stud and striking blue titanium handles.
