Antonio Fogarizzu Utility Knife
September 7, 2007
Fogarizzu
made but one mistake with this knife- the name. This is more than a
utility knife, this is a work of art. Measuring almost a little over 7
inches, with a blade at about 3.1" long, this damascus bladed folder is a
testament to the craftsmanship of Fogarizzu. The blade has an oval
patterned mosaic that is also extended to the blade. This heat colored
process gives this knife a mesmerizing look that will simply draws the eye like
few other knives we have reviewed this past month. the frame is titanium
and the knife's mechanism is a lock back.
The knife is very representative of Antonio's particular style,
which features innovative patterns and alluring design from mosaic damascus
steel, for which he has become renowned. Featured in knife publications
and having been recognized as "Maestro" by the Italian Corporation of Master
Bladesmiths, the Antonio has long proven his ability to bring precision
craftsmanship and artistry together into innovative works of art.
We will no doubt be showcasing more of his stunning creations in
the coming months. We also hope to get an up close look at his blades and
detailed work.
